I never really write about private tastings I attend, but I finally decided to make an exception for an epic Scotch Malt Whisky Society tasting I took part in this past Saturday.
This being bottling by the SMWS, it has a cutesy name: Harvesting Fruit on an Indian Summer's Day. I guess this means I'm in for a fruity dram, perfect for a summer day. I don't know what is up with the Indian though.
I've never been a member of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, as I just never really understood why I should pay for the privilege to buy whisky. That being said, they do release proper whisky!
I'm expecting a wonderful marriage between Islay and the tropics here. Let's hope that's what I get from this Bowmore from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
