Teeling Single Malt is a mix of five (!) different cask types: Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. Doesn't sound like a selling point to me.
Shortly after the Lagavulin Islay Jazz Festival 2016 was released, I tasted it during the Lagavulin Warehouse Demonstration. I even bought a bottle. However, it took me this long to write a proper review of it. Sorry about that.
My main takeaway is that this 4th batch of The Gauldrons is not as sweet as the first batch, and has more of that classic Campbeltown DNA. An improvement, if you will!
