Teeling Single Malt is a mix of five (!) different cask types: Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. Doesn't sound like a selling point to me.
Batch 4 of the Teeling 21yo Vintage Reserve is bold, balanced and rich. And different! This is not a flavour profile you'll soon find in a Scottish single malt.
Every upstart Irish whiskey distillery should focus at least part of their efforts on producing pure pot still. It is what makes Irish whiskey unique. The inclusion of pure pot still whiskey in Writers Tears Copper Pot, makes it a standout.
