Two exotic wine-matured whiskies, a 5yo Arran and 10yo Port Charlotte. While I find wine cask maturation is more often miss than hit, I actually enjoyed both of these!

I previously tried the Zuidam 3 Years OldĀ Zeer Oude Genever, in which I found the oak played a dominant role. Too dominant, probably. So if the 3-year-old is already infused with oak, what of the 5-year-old?
