As a Benromach-fan I was extremely excited to taste their new 35 year old expression. It did not disappoint. A very classy, soft-spoken whisky with lots of layers.
It’s a blend, so I have very little info on today’s whisky, except for the most relevant information. It's 35 years old and comes from a sherry butt :D
I could just drink this all day long. Who the f--- cares what distillery this is from (it's from Royal Lochnagar, btw), as long as the result is this delicious.
At a recent whisky festival I visited, I overheard someone mention the reopening of Brora. He thought it would mean that prices of pre-1983 Brora would drop dramatically. Bless his heart, but he is obviously very wrong.
