I've tasted Glen Albyn 1974 once before, during a sailing trip off the west coast of Scotland. Imagine my surprise when I encountered that exact same bottle at last year's Whiskybase Gathering. I brought home a sample, and here is the result.
The angels wanted nothing to do with this Tormore 1988 28 Years Old from Single Malts of Scotland, which is bottled at 63,3 percent abv. An incredible strength for a whisky at such an advanced age.
