Croftengea might not ring a bell, even if you're quite an avid whisky fan. That's not strange at all, as it is one of 13 spirits produced at Loch Lomond distillery, and rarely ever bottled as a single malt.

Two exotic wine-matured whiskies, a 5yo Arran and 10yo Port Charlotte. While I find wine cask maturation is more often miss than hit, I actually enjoyed both of these!
The Organic is a deserving member of the Benromach family for sure. Although I much prefer the smoke and sherry of their signature 10yo, 15yo and 100 Proof.
Not that long ago I tasted a wine matured Deanston, and thought it lacked balance, was immature and aggressive to boot. Yet here I am trying another one of these monstrosities. I must be mad!
