There's rumours that this sherry bomb comes from a Speyside distillery that has flippers cueing for hours for every new limited release. I don't do rumours though, so I'd never tell you what distillery I'm talking about.
The casQueteers are a cask sharing initiative from the Netherlands, and over the years they've released quite a few impressive whiskies. This Mortlach can be added to that list.
At Tomatin they're not afraid to experiment with maturation in exotic cask types. For example, last year they released this Tomatin 14 Years Old Cabernet Sauvignon.
Bacardi has launched a new line of single malts from Craigellachie, but there are still some very nice single casks to be found from this distillery. Here is one from Hunter Laing.
