For whatever reason, Balblair never really managed to get met interested, so it wasn't till a couple of months ago that I tasted my first. And it was at the best place you can taste any whisky: at their respective distillery.
After this Glenfarclas had spent almost two decades in an ex-bourbon cask, the contents where then transferred to a virgin oak cask. That's almost never a good sign.
Happy new year everybody! I thought I'd start 2016 with a very special bottling from one of my favourite distilleries. Specially selected for the Swedish market by two whisky enthusiasts, this single cask (a rarity) from Old Pulteney is really awesome!
