Teaninich pops up fairly often as an independent bottling, take for example this 1976 vintage bottled by the Hart Brothers at the beginning of this millennium.
While earlier this year industry veteran Iain Croucher released a 40 year old blended malt for a very affordable price, he one-upped himself by bottling an even older whisky. The Vega 1976 41 Year Old is described by North Star Spirits as 'a sweet and spicy Speyside blended malt Scotch whisky with a touch of Islay'.
As an appetizer to Gordon & MacPhail's forthcoming release of the oldest Scotch whisky in the world, I take a closer look at three different Glenlivet from 2004, 2003, and 1976.
