This Glen Grant 70 Years Old was made even before my father was born. Come to think of it, my grandmother was only eleven (!) years old when the spirit was filled into the cask. That's incredible.
So there's this guy in The Netherlands who shares the most amazing whiskies, for very fair prices. If you're a Dutch whisky enthusiast, you might know (of) him. He vaguely resembles a famous English singer-songwriter.
You don't see 'em often anymore, but six or seven years ago there were lots of old Glen Grants on the market. One such an example is this Glen Grant 1974 36 Years Old from Duncan Taylor.
Happy anniversary to me! :) This Glen Grant is not only a fitting whisky to celebrate the second birthday of Words of Whisky, but it is also the oldest whisky I ever tasted.
