The WhiskyNerds' Ledaig is a fitting conclusion to the Blind Tasting Competition—made even better by a very satisfying final placement in the rankings for yours truly.
A worthy trio of whiskies for the Whisky Show 2018, and each of them really does represent their era. The Ben Nevis is of an old-school style, while the Ledaig stands for one of the better modern day whisky the industry has to offer presently. A single grain as the future? Coul very well be. This Invergordon is certainly one of the better iterations I've had the pleasure of tasting.
Bottled by independent bottler Claxton's, this Ledaig 10 Years Old was never available for the general public. It is a private bottling done for SMWG, the largest whisky related Facebook group in the Dutch language.
How about Ledaig? This heavily peated whisky produced at Tobermory distillery is gaining a lot of popularity, especially these young-ish sherry matured expressions.
