Teeling Single Malt is a mix of five (!) different cask types: Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. Doesn't sound like a selling point to me.
Integrated at some points, a little less at others, Teeling Pineapple Rum Cask sometimes doesn't quite makes up its mind. This tastes almost as much like rum as it does whiskey.
This 19yo Teeling is very good indeed, and surprisingly similar to some Littlemill that I've tried. Can't say I find much of a rum influence here, but hey, who cares? Quality stuff!
Batch 4 of the Teeling 21yo Vintage Reserve is bold, balanced and rich. And different! This is not a flavour profile you'll soon find in a Scottish single malt.
