The nose isn’t as expressive, and the palate isn’t extremely balanced either, nevertheless a pleasing whisky.
The Gauldrons Blended Malt Batch #4 (Douglas Laing)
My main takeaway is that this 4th batch of The Gauldrons is not as sweet as the first batch, and has more of that classic Campbeltown DNA. An improvement, if you will!
Lord Elcho 15 Years Old Blended Scotch (Wemyss Malts)
Lord Elcho is a nice blended whisky from the Wemyss Malts folk.
Johnnie Walker White Walker (2018)
I already reviewed all the Game of Thrones Single Malts, so I guess it is about time I turn my attention to the White Walker by Johnnie Walker.
Vega 1977 40 Years Old (North Star Spirits)
A tad heavier than the most recent iteration of the Vega, if I remember correctly, in which I found some more subtleties. Still, a cracking whisky, and one that (if you were able to get one at original retail price) provides a whole lot of bang for your buck.
