I have quite some interesting stuff to choose from for an anniversary post. But when two packages arrived shortly after one another, both containing what are modern classics for sure, my decision was made for me.
A very bourbon-esque Glen Keith 1992 from Archives. The heavy cask influence overshadows some of the fruitiness that other expressions from this period display.
You virtually never encounter an official release from Glentauchers distillery, but it shows up every once in a while as an independent bottling. Like this Glentauchers 1996 20 Years Old from Archives.
Whiskybase just released not one, but two of these 1970s Speyside-gems at the same time. Oh, and as a bonus also a lovely sherried Speyside Region 1998. Is it Christmas already?
