Young, oak forward and not very inspiring. Before the recent price hike, you used to be able get an Aberlour a'bunadh for this kind of money. The Casg Annamh is an inadequate replacement if you ask me.
Not too long ago, Whiskybroker.co.uk released a 25 year old whisky from a prime distillery for ridiculous money. And usually when you say ridiculous money in context of the whisky industry, it means a lot. This is the exact opposite of that though.
Good? Yes. Decent value for money? Totally. However, this is not for the faint-hearted. Strong-willed and quite aggressive. Even diluting it with water doesn't completely tame this whisky.
